The Scuola Vela Argentario (Argentario Sailing School) is one of the most renowned and highly regarded sailing academies in Italy and along the Tuscan coast.

Located at Il Tramonto Beach Club on the Giannella Strip, the school is affiliated with the Italian Culture Sport Association (AICS), recognized by the Italian National Olympic Committee (CONI), and authorized by the Italian Sailing Federation (FIV).

For the Summer 2026 season, the school offers a unique program designed for children aged 6 to 11, combining sailing, nature, creativity, and outdoor wellness activities in a safe and stimulating environment. The courses run from June 30 to August 29 and are led by qualified and experienced instructors, including certified FIV sailing instructors.

Sailing Lessons

Every morning, from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm, participants take part in sailing lessons on collective dinghies, learning the fundamentals of navigation, teamwork, safety at sea, and respect for the marine environment while having fun on the water.

Discovering Argentario

Children will also explore the natural beauty of the Argentario area through guided experiences. A specialized nature guide will accompany them on a fascinating visit to the WWF Oasis in the Orbetello Lagoon, offering the opportunity to discover the local ecosystem and wildlife.

Creative and Sensory Workshops

The program includes engaging creative workshops that encourage children to connect with nature and express their experiences through art and storytelling. Activities include painting inspired by their sailing excursions, collecting natural materials to stimulate creativity, and participating in theatrical workshops based on stories of the sea and travel. Children will invent their own stories and bring them to life through performance and play.

Wellness and Outdoor Activities

Physical well-being is also an important part of the experience. Depending on sea conditions, children can enjoy surfing lessons with an instructor when the waves are suitable, or stand-up paddleboarding (SUP) sessions during calmer days, developing balance, confidence, and a love for outdoor sports.
