The Promontory of Monte Argentario in southern Tuscany is home to the prestigious Argentario Polo Club. It was founded in the 1980s by a group of polo lovers from Rome, Milan and South America.

Since then, many big names of the international polo scene have passed through here, including Gonzalo and Horacito Heguy, Eduardo Heguy, Alejandro (Piki) Diaz Alberdi, Santiago Araya, David Stirling, Juan Martin Nero – among others.

The Argentario Polo Club features two polo fields, one sand track and a Clubhouse with a restaurant, a bar and locker rooms. The setting is simply magical, framed by the classic countryside of Maremma, the green fairways of Argentario Golf Club and the blue waters of the Mediterranean Sea.

The Argentario Polo Club is recognized as one of the best in Europe. It:

• hosted the 1st edition of the Ladies Polo Club in Italy,
• was the first Italian polo club to organize a junior tournament
• was the first in Europe to organize an 18 hp tournament at night.

Every year, a record number of teams enrol for the Coppa Italia F.I.S.E. and the Summer Cup, second only to Sotogrande in Spain.

The 2022 polo season runs from 21st July to 14th August.
