Not only will it be a delicious food festival with fresh local fish and seafood-based delicacies, it will be unique: in fact, visitors will enjoy their meals on the stern of the fishing boats owned by local fishermen!
The lovely sea village of Porto Santo Stefano will celebrate a Fish Festival, called “Tutti a Poppa” (literally – everybody on the stern), on the days 24 and 25 May 2015. The initiative promotes local products and gastronomic tourism, something that can be enjoyed all year-round, even during fall and winter.

The event will officially begin on Saturday 24 May at 9:00 AM, when the decorated fishing vessels will arrive – loaded with freshly caught fish – at the harbor in Via del Molo.
On the mornings of both days, the Antiques Market will open on Lungomare dei Navigatori, while the Food Market with “Zero Kilometer” (local) products will open on Molo della Pilarella.

Starting from noon, the food stands will open and visitors will be able to taste the fresh fish and seafood dishes prepared right there by local chefs!

Other initiatives during the Fish Festival include live music in the Piazze (squares) and bars, a bus that takes tourists around the village, entertainment for children and even a small fashion show by children.
